Rose Freymuth Frazier was born in 1977 in Nevada City, California. After graduating from the Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan she moved to New York City to study oil painting. She saught rigorous, technical training, so she apprenticed with artists Steven Assael in NYC and Odd Nerdrum in Norway. Her work is highly technical and often references classical art history, while also addressing themes of child development, sexuality, loss of innocence, and body image. It can be found in collections such as The Seven Bridges Foundation in Connecticut and the John and Diane Marek Collection in Tennessee. She has exhibited at galleries in Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, and Amsterdam. Her work has also been seen in The Huffington Post, ArtNews, and American Artist Magazine, among others. Frazier-Freymuth lives and works in New York City.
